Service Advisor
Position summary:

The Service Advisor position is the person who is the primary relationship manager of existing client relationships. He/she is responsible for deepening and growing relationships with existing clients and cultivating new relationships with prospects. The Service Advisor is not directly involved in identifying and cultivating new relationships with prospects. Instead, the focus of the Service Advisor is on implementing a repeatable and exceptional client experience with the goals of garnering additional business and referrals from existing clients. In this role, he/she may direct and/or manage the activities of team members. The Service Advisor will report directly to the firm’s Champion Partner and/or Senior Advisor.
Primary performance duties:
- Contacting clients on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being met and that they are being serviced according to their preferences.
- Conducting investment research on fund companies and securities products.
- Monitoring cash in advisory accounts, rebalancing portfolios and placing trades for accounts; maintaining systems such as Envestnet.
- Identifying and pursuing targeted prospects when appropriate.
- Meeting with clients to determine their needs and then creating customized financial plans using the 8-Point Tax Smart Framework, following up with clients according to ensure ideal client experience is met.
Primary job duties related to clients:
Assist clients in pursuing financial health through a consultative approach by:
- Helping them understand their current financial situation
- Working with them to identify financial goals and identifying potential solutions
- Leading them through the process of implementation
Serve as the primary Financial Professional contact (under the direction of the Senior Advisor) to:
- Work toward lead meetings with clients
- Monitor client financial plans and investments independently
- Partner with the Senior Advisor to manage selected client relationships, when necessary
- Manage the activities of selected team members, when necessary
Cultivate relationships with new prospective clients to:
- Garner additional business referrals from existing clients
- Seek out new clients
Primary job duties related to our firm:
Daily practice:
- Develop a clear understanding and application of the Firm’s existing Policies and Procedures
- Help enhance the existing system with new Policies and Procedures, coordinating with relevant staff and the Managing Principal; assist in implementing any approved changes and additions
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and broker/dealer rules
- Assist with the roles of the Support Advisor and/or Wealth Management Assistant, in the absence of this personnel
- Assist in maintenance of recommended fund lists
Additional responsibilities:
- Build and foster long-term relationships with existing clients by communicating consistently and creatively.
- Monitor financial markets and daily/weekly/monthly activity (drivers and influences impacting clients’ investments and the Firm’s portfolios.
- Conduct business in a compliant manner, staying up to date on new policies and regulations and respond as appropriate.
Coordinate with the appropriate Support Advisor and/or Wealth Management Assistant in scheduling client meetings (preparation of agendas, reports, identifying and pulling of needed files, etc.). - Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- CFP® (preferred) or CFP® candidate with 24-month time frame to complete designation
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses (to be obtained within 6-12 months if not already obtained)
- State Insurance License (to be obtained within 12-24 months if not already obtained)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Financial Professional working with client relationships
